The Premier League title race this season is intensifying – but William Gallas has already ruled out one of his former clubs from competing next year.

Former Arsenal and Chelsea defender, William Gallas, has echoed Enzo Maresca’s assessment of Chelsea’s current capabilities while also predicting that the west London club will be a significant threat to other title challengers next season.

Gallas, who played for Chelsea during his career, agrees with Maresca’s view that Chelsea is not yet ready to compete for the Premier League title this season.

“Enzo Maresca knows Chelsea are not in the title race,” Gallas told Prime Casino. “I think the same thing. Chelsea are not ready to compete for the Premier League title this season.”

However, Gallas believes that Chelsea will be a formidable force in the coming seasons. “Next season, Chelsea will be ready for the race,” he continued. “Right now, it looks like they are going to finish around fourth, but next season they will be ready for the title race.”

Gallas also highlighted the increased competition that Arsenal and other teams will face next season. “That’s why teams like Arsenal, if they don’t win this season, next season it will be difficult because Chelsea will be there. United will be there. City will be there again.

Next season will be a big season with several teams competing for the title, and I don’t think Arsenal will be challenging for the title next year.”
