West Ham United has begun negotiations with Arsenal to sign Reiss Nelson according to Football Insider.

The East London club wants to add the excellent winger to their team and is willing to make a big bid for the £25 million-rated player. Although Arsenal is willing to part ways with Nelson, they are firm on not accepting a reduced fee for the homegrown talent.

Under the management of Julen Lopetegui, West Ham aims to reinforce their attacking options, particularly in wide and central positions. Acquiring Nelson is seen as a strategic move to enhance their squad ahead of the upcoming season. Despite Nelson’s long-standing association with Arsenal since the age of nine, the Gunners are looking to offload the 24-year-old winger during the summer transfer window.

The prospect of bringing in Nelson has the potential to significantly strengthen West Ham’s squad, providing them with a valuable option off the bench. As negotiations continue, it will be interesting to see if West Ham can complete the deal in the upcoming weeks.

Despite his limited appearances in the previous Premier League season, Nelson remains under a long-term contract with Arsenal, with his current deal set to expire in 2027.
