Viktor Gyokeres Rules Out Manchester United Move as Arsenal Gain Advantage

Viktor Gyokeres Arsenal move gains momentum as the Swedish striker rejects Manchester United and eyes a transfer to the Emirates.

Swedish striker Viktor Gyokeres has ruled out a switch to Manchester United, paving the way for an exciting Arsenal Move. The Sporting CP forward had been heavily linked with a transfer to Old Trafford, but fresh reports from Record confirm that his camp has informed United that he is no longer considering their offer. With Arsenal emerging as the leading candidate, the Gunners are expected to intensify negotiations in their pursuit of the prolific goal-scorer.

Gyokeres, who has been a standout performer in Portugal, was reportedly unconvinced by United’s project, citing concerns over the club’s lack of Champions League football and ongoing restructuring under Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s leadership. Despite multiple discussions between United and the player’s camp, Arsenal’s growing interest has changed the dynamic. The Gunners are expected to return with an improved offer after their initial bid of €55m plus €10m in add-ons was rejected by Sporting.

Sporting CP is demanding a fee in excess of €80m for the prolific striker, who has netted an impressive 57 goals in two seasons. Arsenal, meanwhile, remains in talks with RB Leipzig over a deal for Benjamin Sesko, who is believed to be Mikel Arteta’s top striker target. If Arsenal secures Sesko, it could leave Gyokeres and Sporting in a vulnerable position.

United, now out of the race for Gyokeres, must turn their attention to alternative targets. Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, Crystal Palace’s Jean-Philippe Mateta, and Porto’s Samu Aghehowa are among the names being considered.

With Arsenal leading the chase, Gyokeres’ dream destination appears to be the Emirates. Whether the Gunners can finalize a deal remains to be seen, but for now, Manchester United is officially out of the running.
