Viktor Gyokeres Arsenal transfer is now official. The Swedish striker has completed his move from Sporting Lisbon, signing a five-year deal with the Gunners.
According to MailSports, Arsenal will pay Sporting a guaranteed £55 million, plus £8.5 million in add-ons. The deal ends a long-running saga and gives Mikel Arteta the prolific striker he’s been chasing.
Gyokeres reportedly sacrificed £2 million in wages to help facilitate the move.
Viktor Gyokeres’ Record in Portugal Turned Heads
Gyokeres scored 97 goals in 102 appearances for Sporting Lisbon. He won back-to-back Primeira Liga titles and was the league’s top scorer in both seasons. His form made him one of Europe’s most sought-after forwards.
Arteta praised Gyokeres’ physicality, movement, and clinical finishing.
“He brings a high conversion rate and intelligent movement,” Arteta said.
