Viktor Gyokeres Arsenal transfer is now official. The Swedish striker has completed his move from Sporting Lisbon, signing a five-year deal with the Gunners.

According to MailSports, Arsenal will pay Sporting a guaranteed £55 million, plus £8.5 million in add-ons. The deal ends a long-running saga and gives Mikel Arteta the prolific striker he’s been chasing.

Gyokeres reportedly sacrificed £2 million in wages to help facilitate the move.

Viktor Gyokeres’ Record in Portugal Turned Heads

Gyokeres scored 97 goals in 102 appearances for Sporting Lisbon. He won back-to-back Primeira Liga titles and was the league’s top scorer in both seasons. His form made him one of Europe’s most sought-after forwards.

Arteta praised Gyokeres’ physicality, movement, and clinical finishing.

“He brings a high conversion rate and intelligent movement,” Arteta said.

Sporting Director Andrea Berta called him “a perfect fit” for Arsenal’s vision.

Arsenal struggled with injuries to key forwards last season. Gyokeres adds depth and consistency to the attack. He joins a squad aiming to challenge for the Premier League title and make a deep Champions League run.

Viktor Gyokeres will wear the number 14 shirt and has joined Arsenal’s pre-season tour in Asia. His arrival marks a major step forward in the club’s summer rebuild.
