Riccardo Calafiori to Arsenal transfer has been ongoing, with negotiations between the two clubs still in progress. While several European clubs have shown interest in the player lately, it appears that the Gunners is close to securing the deal.
Sky Sports Italia reports that Bologna is seeking a price of β¬50 million for the defender, and Arsenal’s current offer for Calafiori is β¬40 million guaranteed with an extra β¬10 million in add-ons, totalling the β¬50million requested by Bologna.
The final agreement has not yet been reached, but the player’s agent,Β Alessandro LucciΒ , is currently working toΒ Β smooth out the remaining gapsΒ between the clubs.
Bologna owed 50% of whatever money they recovered from the sales of Calafiori, and because the current offer from the Gunners does not include a percentage of future resale for Bologna, it is likely why the deal has not yet finalised.
