Thomas Tuchel plans to reach out to Arsenal star Ben White in an attempt to bring an end to his two-year England exile, which began after he walked out on the World Cup due to a row with Steve Holland, as he reveals his vision for the Three Lions.
England newly appointed manager Thomas Tuchel, has announced his intention to reach out to Arsenal defender Ben White regarding his prolonged absence from the national team. White, 27, has not played for England since he left the World Cup in Qatar mid-tournament in December 2022.
In a recent statement, Tuchel expressed his desire to resolve White’s international exile and start afresh. “Yes, I will reach out to him,” Tuchel said. “It should be a clean start and a clear narrative. It starts from January.” Tuchel emphasized that he would respect the busy schedules of players during the January period but is keen to have a conversation with White.
White’s decision to step away from the England squad was reportedly due to a disagreement with former assistant manager Steve Holland. Despite his impressive performances for Arsenal, White has not been part of the national team setup since the incident.
Tuchel’s proactive approach signals a fresh start for the England squad, with the German manager aiming to build a cohesive and motivated team as they gear up for future competitions.
