Thomas Partey revealed that the Arsenal squad was left saddened and frustrated after their 1-1 draw with Brighton on Saturday at the Amex.

Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has revealed the squad’s feelings of sadness and frustration following their 1-1 draw with Brighton at the Amex Stadium. The Gunners were left deflated after Ethan Nwaneri’s early goal was cancelled out by Joao Pedro’s penalty in the second half.

Partey, who played at right-back due to injuries and suspensions, expressed the team’s disappointment, saying, “We are sad, frustrated, everybody is down but that’s part of football. We wanted to win, we wanted to keep the momentum going and at the end of the day, we didn’t get it. But it’s also a positive one because we did not lose. We have to try our best and win these games because they’re the most important ones, but it’s not an easy game against a good side and to win here you have to be perfect. We need to forget (about Saturday) and keep on working hard to win our next game.”

The draw means Arsenal’s unbeaten run in the league stretches to 10 matches, but it also means they missed the chance to cut the gap to league leaders Liverpool. Despite the frustration, Partey acknowledged the positives, emphasizing the importance of not losing and the need to move forward.
