Arsenal squandered a two-goal advantage and are forced to settle for a 2-2 tie with Aston Villa, falling six points behind Premier League leaders Liverpool.

Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has reiterated the team’s determination to remain in the Premier League title race, even after losing ground to Liverpool. The Gunners’ recent 2-2 draw with Aston Villa left them six points behind league leaders Liverpool, who have a game in hand. Despite this setback, Partey remains optimistic and insists that Arsenal will continue to fight for the title.
“We know it’s a tough challenge, but we’re not giving up,” Partey stated. “We’ve shown that we can compete with the best, and we’ll keep fighting until the end of the season. Every point is crucial, and we’ll give our all to stay in contention.”
Partey acknowledged the physical and mental demands of the Premier League but emphasized the importance of self-belief and resilience. “You aim to be at the top, so you naturally look at those ahead, but our main focus is to believe in ourselves, strive for better, concentrate, and win our games,” he explained. “We have a strong squad and a great manager in Mikel Arteta. We’ll regroup, learn from our mistakes, and come back stronger.”
The Ghanaian midfielder also praised the team’s unity and determination. “I’m proud of the team, and everyone is proud of each other. We are doing a great job and dominating many teams. Every game we play consistently, we maintain our consistency, and at the end of the day, we will get our results.”
