Theo Walcott has named three players he thinks would be welcome signings for Arsenal this summer as the club aims to bridge the gap to Premier League success.

Former Arsenal winger Theo Walcott has publicly urged his old club to consider signing Callum Hudson-Odoi, the former Chelsea star, in the upcoming transfer window. Walcott’s recommendation comes as Arsenal seeks to reinforce their squad to achieve their first Premier League title since 2004.

Currently at Nottingham Forest, Hudson-Odoi has been in impressive form, helping his team compete for a Champions League spot. Walcott, who had a successful tenure at Arsenal, believes Hudson-Odoi could significantly bolster Mikel Arteta’s squad.

In an interview with DR Sports, Walcott praised Hudson-Odoi’s capabilities and suggested that Arsenal should “test the waters” with a bid for the talented winger. He emphasized Hudson-Odoi’s ability to play on the left wing, providing crucial cover and competition for Bukayo Saka.

Walcott’s suggestions come at a pivotal moment for Arsenal, as they require reinforcements to stay competitive with top teams like Liverpool, who have established a 13-point lead at the top of the table. Arsenal has encountered difficulties in maintaining their title challenge, with recent defeats to West Ham and Nottingham Forest.

Alongside Hudson-Odoi, Walcott also mentioned Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak and Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo as potential targets for Arsenal. He believes these players could elevate the team to the level necessary to win the Premier League.

Isak has been in exceptional form for Newcastle, attracting interest from top clubs like Real Madrid, Chelsea, Manchester United, and Liverpool. His consistent goal-scoring ability makes him an ideal candidate to strengthen Arsenal’s attack.

Mbeumo’s versatility and goal-scoring talent have impressed Walcott, who sees him as a valuable asset for Arsenal. Mbeumo would provide vital support to Bukayo Saka and add depth to the squad.

As the summer transfer window approaches, it remains to be seen whether Arsenal will heed Walcott’s advice and pursue Hudson-Odoi. However, with the club’s title hopes at stake, acquiring a player of Hudson-Odoi’s caliber could be crucial for ending their long wait for Premier League glory.
