Serie A giants Inter Milan are keeping a close eyes on Oleksandr Zinchenko’s situation at Arsenal due to his reported dissatisfaction with limited playing time.

According to a report by Fichajes, Inter Milan are reportedly keeping a close watch on Oleksandr Zinchenko’s situation at Arsenal, as the Ukrainian left-back has shown discontent with his limited playing time. Zinchenko, who joined Arsenal in a reported €35 million deal from Manchester City in 2022, has found himself on the fringes of the squad this season.

Zinchenko became a key player for Arsenal in his first season, making 73 appearances. However, this season has been different. With the arrival of Italian international Riccardo Calafiori from Bologna for €45 million, Zinchenko’s opportunities have dwindled. He has played just 178 minutes across five games this season, compared to Calafiori’s 635 minutes over 10 games.

The competition for a starting spot at Arsenal has intensified with the presence of Jurrien Timber and Jakub Kiwior. Zinchenko’s frustration is understandable, given his previous contributions to the team. Arsenal’s recent form has also been a concern, with the team struggling to secure wins and facing fitness issues.

Inter Milan has identified Zinchenko as a potential target for the upcoming winter transfer window. The Serie A giants are keen to bolster their squad with a versatile defender who can provide quality cover and competition for the starting lineup. Zinchenko’s experience and ability to play in multiple positions make him an attractive option for Inter Milan.

With the transfer window approaching, Zinchenko will have to decide whether to stay at Arsenal and fight for his place or seek a move to Inter Milan for more playing time. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will also need to make a decision on how to manage his squad and address the fitness concerns that have plagued the team.
