However, after witnessing the performances in the semi-final first legs, he now believes Barcelona will face PSG in the final instead.
Arsenal, who eliminated reigning champions Real Madrid in the quarter-finals, now face a daunting task in overturning their 1-0 deficit against PSG in the second leg in Paris. The French giants, led by Luis Enrique, have been dominant throughout the competition, knocking out Premier League champions Liverpool on their way to the semi-finals.
Despite Arsenal’s resilience, Ferdinand speaking on his YouTube channel expressed concerns about their mentality, stating that while they have the ability to win, their belief and mindset will be crucial. He highlighted Bukayo Saka as a potential match-winner but warned that if Arsenal’s mentality isn’t right, they could struggle against PSG.
Ferdinand believes a PSG vs Barcelona final would be the most exciting outcome, showcasing two of the most attacking teams in Europe.
