Arsenal dominated possession and created several chances, but United’s defense held firm. Despite Arsenal’s control, it was Manchester United who took the lead just before halftime. Bruno Fernandes scored a stunning free-kick in stoppage time, sending the home crowd into a frenzy.
The second half saw Arsenal continue their aggressive play. Martin Odegaard forced Onana into making a brilliant save, and Declan Rice missed a volley from a corner. United had their moments too, with Alejandro Garnacho and Noussair Mazraoui coming close to doubling their lead. However, Arsenal’s persistence paid off in the 74th minute when Declan Rice scored a superb goal to level the match.
