Ray Parlour believes Alexander Isak is the ideal signing for Arsenal this summer, drawing parallels between the striker and club legend Thierry Henry.

Arsenal legend Ray Parlour has expressed his belief that Alexander Isak would be the “dream signing” for the Gunners this summer. Parlour, who won three Premier League titles with Arsenal, has been impressed by the Swedish striker’s performances and sees him as the perfect fit for Mikel Arteta’s side.

Isak, currently playing for Newcastle United, has been in sensational form this season, scoring 19 goals in all competitions. His movement, work rate, and goal-scoring ability have drawn comparisons to club legend Thierry Henry. “He is Thierry Henry-esque. I really like his movement,” Parlour told Mirror Sport.

Parlour believes that Isak’s qualities would complement Arsenal’s fluid style of play and help the team achieve their ambitions. “He will be the dream signing, but whether they can get him is another matter,” Parlour added.

The challenge for Arsenal will be to meet Newcastle’s reported asking price of over £150 million. However, Parlour is optimistic that if Arsenal can secure Isak’s signature, it would be a significant boost to their squad.
