Raheem Sterling delivered one of his finest performances for Arsenal since joining on loan from Chelsea, providing assists for both goals in their 2-2 draw against PSV, thereby securing their spot in the Champions League quarter-finals.

Arsenal winger Raheem Sterling has admitted he has not played as often as he would have liked during his loan spell at the Emirates. However, after his superb display against PSV Eindhoven on Wednesday night, he has vowed to keep “knocking at the door” for more opportunities.

Sterling, who joined Arsenal on loan from Chelsea at the start of the season, has faced a challenging time securing regular minutes on the pitch. Despite his impressive track record with previous clubs like Liverpool, Manchester City, and Chelsea, the 30-year-old winger has found it difficult to break into Mikel Arteta’s starting lineup consistently.

In the recent Champions League match against PSV Eindhoven, Sterling showcased his undeniable talent and determination. The winger played a pivotal role in Arsenal’s 2-2 draw, providing two crucial assists that helped the Gunners secure a 9-3 aggregate victory and advance to the quarterfinals. His performance was a reminder of the quality he brings to the team and his potential to make a significant impact when given the chance.

Reflecting on his performance, Sterling expressed his satisfaction with contributing to the team’s success. “It was nice to be out there and contribute to the team. I know what I am capable of. You just want to be playing. You are at a top club with top players and you just have to wait for your moment. And that is what I am doing,” he told TNT Sports

Sterling also acknowledged the challenges he has faced in securing regular playing time but remains optimistic about his future at Arsenal. “I am still faithful that I have still got a big part to play. You can only control what you can control. I have not had as many minutes as I would have liked but I have had the opportunities. It is down to myself to keep knocking at the door. I believe within myself that I have a lot to play here, whether it is 10 minutes, 45 or a start. I just need to be ready and try and help the team as much as possible,”

“With a leader like Mikel he is not someone I want to be knocking at his door physically, he is the one in charge. All I can do is what I can do which is on the training field or here. It’s down to me to keep pushing and have that in his thought process.” he added.
