Raheem Sterling absent from Arsenal’s squad for Saturday’s Premier League fixture against Crystal Palace, scheduled to take place at Selhurst Park.
Raheem Sterling will not feature in Arsenal’s squad for their Premier League clash against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday. The England international, who joined Arsenal on loan from Chelsea, has been struggling with injuries and form since his arrival.
Sterling made a rare start in Wednesday night’s Carabao Cup tie against Crystal Palace but was substituted midway through the second half. Unfortunately, he picked up an injury in training on Friday, which has ruled him out of the upcoming match.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta confirmed the news, stating, “Raheem felt something in training yesterday and had to come off early. We’ll have further tests and scans to confirm the exact injury.”
Sterling’s absence is a blow to Arsenal, who will be looking to secure a win at Selhurst Park to maintain their strong position in the Premier League table. Fans will be hoping for a swift recovery for the winger, as his presence on the pitch has been missed.
