PSG defeat Arsenal to secured their place in the UEFA Champions League final with a 2-1 victory over Arsenal at the Parc des Princes, sealing a 3-1 aggregate win. Despite Arsenal’s early dominance, PSG capitalized on their chances to book their spot in the final against Inter Milan.
Arsenal, trailing 1-0 from the first leg, started aggressively, forcing PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma into crucial saves early on. However, PSG struck first in the 26th minute, when Fabián Ruiz fired a powerful shot past Arsenal’s David Raya, doubling PSG’s aggregate lead.
The second half saw Arsenal continue their push, but PSG extended their advantage in the 71st minute through Achraf Hakimi, who slotted home PSG’s second goal of the night. Arsenal responded quickly, with Bukayo Saka pulling one back in the 75th minute, but it wasn’t enough to overturn the deficit.
With this victory, PSG advances to the Champions League final, where they will face Inter Milan on May 31st. Arsenal, despite their spirited performance, will have to regroup and focus on their domestic campaign.
