Porto in Talks with Arsenal Over Jakub Kiwior Transfer

According to Sky Sports, Arsenal are in talks with FC Porto about the transfer of Jakub Kiwior. The Portuguese club is keen to sign the Polish defender before the transfer window closes.

Porto have proposed a loan deal with an obligation to buy Jakub Kiwior next summer. This structure allows them to manage their budget while securing the player long-term. However, salary negotiations are ongoing. Porto want Arsenal to cover part of Kiwior’s wages during the loan period.

Kiwior Open to the Move

Jakub Kiwior is reportedly open to joining Porto. He sees the move as a positive step in his career. With limited playing time at Arsenal, a transfer could offer him more opportunities on the pitch.

Kiwior joined Arsenal from Spezia in 2023. Despite his potential, he has struggled to break into the starting lineup. Arsenal’s defense is currently led by William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhães. The recent signing of Cristhian Mosquera has pushed Kiwior further down the pecking order.

Jakub Kiwior is a versatile defender who can play centrally or on the left. He has earned over 30 caps for Poland and made 30 appearances for Arsenal last season. His technical ability and composure make him a strong candidate for Porto’s defensive setup.
