Paul Scholes advises Mikel Arteta that one of his primary transfer targets, Alexander Isak, possesses greater ability than Arsenal.

Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has made headlines with his recent remarks about Arsenal’s interest in Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak. Scholes, speaking on The Overlap podcast, suggested that Isak is “bigger and better” than Arsenal, implying that the Swedish striker should consider moving to a more established club.

Isak has been in tremendous form for Newcastle this season, scoring 17 goals in the Premier League. His impressive performances have caught the attention of several top clubs, including Arsenal, who are reportedly keen on making a significant bid for the 25-year-old forward.

However, Scholes believes that Isak’s talents would be better suited to a club with a stronger pedigree of success. “Everyone loves him but I don’t see a possibility of him going to Arsenal,” Scholes stated. “He needs to go bigger and better.”

Scholes pointed to clubs like Real Madrid, Liverpool, and Manchester City as more appropriate destinations for Isak. He argued that while Isak would undoubtedly improve Arsenal’s attack, his potential is greater at a club with a proven track record of winning titles.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is determined to strengthen his squad and sees Isak as a key addition. Despite Scholes’ comments, Arsenal remains interested in pursuing the striker and is expected to make a substantial offer in the summer transfer window.
