Former Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny has officially become a UEFA A Licence coach. Elneny, who now plays for Al-Jazira in the UAE, announced his achievement on social media, expressing his excitement for the journey ahead.
“So proud to announce that I successfully earned my UEFA A Licence [football and university hat emojis],” he wrote on Instagram.
“I’m grateful for the opportunity to develop my coaching skills and knowledge and I’m very excited for the journey ahead as I continue to grow and make a positive impact in the world of football!
“Thank you @bridgo18 [Dave Bridges] for all your help and support [heart and raised hands emojis]”.
The UEFA A Licence allows Elneny to manage youth teams up to the age of 18, reserve teams for top-flight clubs, or men’s professional second-tier clubs. This new qualification marks an important step in Elneny’s transition from player to coach, and he is eager to make a positive impact in the world of football.
Elneny began his journey while still at Arsenal, working alongside Dave Bridges, who is assistant manager at Lincoln City. His dedication to developing his coaching skills has now paid off, and he is ready to take on new challenges in his coaching career.
