Nottingham Forest are reportedly considering a loan swoop for Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale. The Reds have already signed Brazilian goalkeeper Carlos Miguel on a four-year contract this summer, but they may aim to improve their goalkeeper department before the transfer window closes.
According to The Sun, Ramsdale is on Forest’s radar. However, Arsenal’s asking price of £50 million has proven to be a stumbling block. A loan move for Ramsdale toward the end of the window could be a possible option.
Current Forest’s head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has Brazilian Carlos Miguel, Matz Sels, and Matt Turner on the books. Turner, the American goalkeeper, may seek regular game time elsewhere, potentially opening the door for another signing. Forest has also been linked with Crystal Palace’s Sam Johnstone.
While Ramsdale has several Premier League admirers, no suitable bids have been made for him so far. Arsenal acknowledges the need for a replacement if Ramsdale leaves, Wolverhampton’s Dan Bentley is a name that has been mentioned as a potential replacement and has had a bid rejected by Wolves as reported by BBC.
