Arsenal are reportedly keeping a close eye on RB Leipzig winger Antonio Nusa as Mikel Arteta considers strengthening his attacking options during the January transfer window.
The 21-year-old Norway international has emerged as a potential target for the Gunners, who are looking to add more quality and depth to their wide attacking positions. Arsenal are understood to have monitored Nusa’s performances this season, with their interest developing ahead of the winter transfer window.

Arsenal Turn Attention to Antonio Nusa After Vinícius Júnior Disappointment
Arsenal explored several ambitious attacking options during the summer, with Real Madrid forward Vinícius Júnior reportedly among the players they admired.
However, a move for the Brazilian failed to materialise as he remained at the Santiago Bernabéu and signed a new contract. Chelsea also strengthened their attacking options by completing a major move for Morgan Rogers.

Arsenal took a different approach, bringing in Christos Tzolis while allowing Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard to leave. Those departures have left Arteta with fewer natural options on the left side of his attack.
Nusa is now being considered as a possible solution. Although primarily a left winger, the Norwegian can also operate on the opposite flank, giving Arsenal additional flexibility across their forward line.
His direct running, acceleration and willingness to take on defenders could make him an attractive addition to Arteta’s squad.
Antonio Nusa’s Leipzig Form and Transfer Valuation
Nusa has continued to attract attention through his performances for RB Leipzig this season. The winger has contributed goals and assists in the Bundesliga and also found the net during Leipzig’s recent Champions League defeat to Manchester City.
His development has strengthened his reputation as one of Norway’s promising attacking talents.
Leipzig signed Nusa from Club Brugge a couple of years ago and have secured his future with a contract running until 2029. That agreement puts the German club in a strong negotiating position.
Reports have placed his potential valuation at between £45 million and €70 million, with the higher estimate equivalent to approximately £60 million.
Arsenal are reportedly more comfortable with a fee closer to the lower end of that range. Any negotiations could therefore depend on whether Leipzig are prepared to reduce their demands.
RB Leipzig Reluctant to Sell as Tottenham Monitor Situation
A January departure could prove difficult to arrange. Leipzig are not under immediate financial pressure following the reported summer sale of Yan Diomande to Real Madrid and regard Nusa as an important member of their squad.
Their involvement in the Champions League could also influence their position. Losing an attacking player during the middle of the season would be a significant decision, particularly while European competition remains a priority.
Arsenal may also face competition from Tottenham, who have reportedly been linked with the Norwegian winger.
The Gunners are said to be confident about their chances should Leipzig become willing to negotiate. Martin Ødegaard’s international connection with Nusa could also be a potential advantage when it comes to discussing the player’s future, although it remains to be seen whether that will influence his decision.
Could Arsenal Make a January Move for Nusa?
For now, Arsenal’s reported interest in Antonio Nusa remains one to watch as the January transfer window approaches.
A deal may become more realistic towards the end of the window, particularly if Leipzig’s Champions League campaign comes to an end or Arsenal are prepared to meet the German club’s valuation.

Arteta wants more attacking depth, and Nusa’s versatility could make him a valuable addition. However, Leipzig’s reluctance to sell and the potential competition from Tottenham mean Arsenal could face a difficult negotiation.
The coming weeks should provide a clearer indication of whether the Gunners are prepared to turn their interest into a formal transfer approach.
