Newcastle United are expected to demand a transfer fee in excess of £150 million from either Arsenal or Chelsea in order to part with Alexander Isak.
Newcastle United has reportedly set a staggering asking price of £150 million for their star striker Alexander Isak, according to report from The Telegraph. The Swedish forward has been in sensational form this season, netting 11 goals in 16 Premier League games, making him one of the most sought-after players in Europe.
Isak, who joined Newcastle from Real Sociedad in 2022 for a club-record fee of £63 million, has continued to impress with his goal-scoring prowess. His recent performances have caught the attention of several top clubs, including Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, and Barcelona.
Despite the interest from these elite clubs, Newcastle United has insisted that they are “relaxed” about the situation and have no intention of selling their prized asset. Manager Eddie Howe has expressed his desire to keep Isak at the club, stating, “There’s no part of me or anyone at Newcastle that wants to let Alex go.”

Isak himself has also expressed his contentment at Newcastle, although contract extension talks have been postponed. With three and a half years left on his current deal, Newcastle holds a strong negotiating position.
Arsenal, in particular, has been linked with Isak as they search for a prolific goalscorer to complement their attack. The Gunners have been monitoring his situation closely, and the hefty price tag set by Newcastle may not deter them if they believe Isak is the missing piece in their squad.
Everyone will be keeping an eye on Newcastle and Isak as the January transfer window approaches to see if any team is willing to pay the asking price of £150 million. For now, Newcastle remains firm in their stance, hoping to keep their star striker and continue their push for success in the Premier League.
