Thomas Tuchel is set to reveal his first England squad later this morning, and early reports suggest that Arsenal’s Myles Lewis-Skelly is among the players selected.

Myles Lewis-Skelly has been called up to the England senior squad for the first time, according to intermittent reports from BBC Sport, an official statement will be released later today. The 18-year-old full-back has been making waves in the Premier League this season, and his impressive performances have not gone unnoticed by newly-appointed England manager Thomas Tuchel.

Lewis-Skelly, who has previously represented England at the U19 level, is set to bypass the U20s Elite League and U21s to join the senior players at St George’s Park. This call-up comes as England faces a shortage of left-back options due to injuries to Luke Shaw and Lewis Hall.

The young defender has made 25 senior appearances for Arsenal this season, scoring his first goal for the senior team in February during a 5-1 victory over Manchester City. His consistent performances have earned him rave reviews and solidified his position as Mikel Arteta’s first-choice left-back.

Lewis-Skelly’s inclusion in the England squad marks the beginning of a new era under Tuchel, who took over as head coach after Gareth Southgate’s resignation following England’s defeat to Spain in the European Championship final. Tuchel, who officially started his role on New Year’s Day, has been attending several Premier League matches to scout potential players for his squad.

The young Arsenal star’s call-up is a testament to his hard work and dedication, and it presents a fantastic opportunity for him to showcase his talent on the international stage. As England prepares for their World Cup qualifiers against Albania and Latvia at Wembley Stadium, all eyes will be on Lewis-Skelly to see how he performs in his first senior international matches.
