Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has revealed that the club could be active in the January transfer market, but only if it means bringing in a player who can make an immediate impact on the first team. Arteta emphasized that the priority is to strengthen the squad with quality additions who can contribute right away.

Arsenal has faced significant challenges this season, including persistent injury problems and a lack of depth in certain positions. The recent absence of key players like Bukayo Saka and Ben White has stretched the squad thin, affecting their performance. Arteta acknowledged the difficulties but stressed the importance of focusing on the existing players while remaining open to potential signings.

Arteta made it clear that any new signings must be players who can immediately improve the team’s performance. “It’s about somebody that can impact immediately with performance and they can bring something we don’t have,” Arteta said. He added that simply adding numbers to the squad would not be beneficial.

Arsenal has been linked with several players who could fit Arteta’s criteria, including Alexander Isak, Marcus Rashford, and Nico Williams. These players are known for their ability to make an immediate impact and could help Arsenal in their pursuit of silverware.
