Mikel Arteta Provides Updates on Calafiori and Jorginho Ahead of Bournemouth Clash

Mikel Arteta injury updates on Calafiori and Jorginho ahead of Arsenal’s Premier League clash, offering insights into their recovery timelines.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has provided the latest injury updates on Riccardo Calafiori and Jorginho ahead of their upcoming Premier League match against Bournemouth. Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Arteta confirmed that both players remain unavailable for selection.

Calafiori, who has missed the last nine games, continues his recovery but is not yet fit to return to action. Meanwhile, Jorginho, who has been sidelined since picking up an injury in the draw against Brentford last month, is facing a more complicated recovery than initially expected. Despite this, Arteta reassured fans that Jorginho is recovering well and could still feature before the end of the season.

In addition to updates on Calafiori and Jorginho, Arteta also shared positive news regarding Kai Havertz. The German midfielder, who was originally ruled out for the season following surgery, may have a chance to play a few games before the campaign concludes.

Arteta hinted that Havertz, along with Jorginho and Calafiori, could potentially be in contention for Arsenal’s crucial Champions League clash against Paris Saint-Germain next week.

With Arsenal’s domestic season nearing its end and their European ambitions still alive, Arteta will be hoping for the swift recovery of his key players as they prepare for the challenges ahead.
