Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is optimistic about Kai Havertz’s availability for selection ahead of their Premier League clash with Brighton on Saturday.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has expressed optimism about the availability of Kai Havertz for the upcoming Premier League clash against Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday. Havertz, who missed Arsenal’s recent 3-1 victory over Brentford due to illness, is now reportedly fit to play.

In a press conference on Friday, Arteta confirmed Havertz’s recovery, stating, “Yes, I think so. The ones with the illness, I think they’re going to be okay. They will train today, and if everybody is fine, they should be available. This news comes as a significant boost for Arsenal, who have been dealing with several injuries and absences.

Havertz has been a key player for Arsenal this season, contributing 12 goals and 7 assists in all competitions. His presence on the field will be crucial as Arsenal aims to maintain their momentum in the title race.

However, Arteta also provided updates on other injured players, including Raheem Sterling and Takehiro Tomiyasu, both of whom are making progress in their recoveries. Unfortunately, Bukayo Saka will be out for a few months following hamstring surgery, and Jurrien Timber is suspended for the Brighton match after accumulating five yellow cards this season.

With the return of Havertz and the potential availability of other players, Arsenal will be looking to secure a vital three points against Brighton. The match promises to be an exciting encounter, with both teams eager to make an impact in the league.
