Arsenal gets major boost with Riccardo Calafiori and Ethan Nwaneri available again for Wednesday’s Champions League game against Dinamo Zagreb.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has delivered some much-needed positive news ahead of the team’s crucial Champions League clash against Dinamo Zagreb. Two key players, Riccardo Calafiori and Ethan Nwaneri, have returned to training and are expected to be available for the match.

Calafiori, who has been out of action since last year due to a muscle problem, and Nwaneri, who picked up a hamstring injury earlier this month, were both spotted in training with the rest of the squad. Arteta expressed his delight at having the duo back, stating, “It’s very positive news. We’ve missed them for a few weeks, and they returned today for training so they will be available for the game.”
However, Arteta also provided an update on William Saliba, who is still recovering from a tight hamstring problem and is not expected to be fit for the match. Despite this setback, the return of Calafiori and Nwaneri is a significant boost for Arsenal as they aim to secure a place in the knockout stage of the Champions League.
The match against Dinamo Zagreb is crucial for Arsenal, as a win would almost guarantee their progression to the Round of 16, avoiding the additional playoff match. Arteta’s side currently sits third in the UCL table, and a strong performance against the Croatian champions will be essential to their campaign.
With the return of key players and the team’s determination to succeed, Arsenal fans have plenty of reasons to be optimistic as they prepare for the upcoming clash.
