Martin Zubimendi’s £50m Arsenal Transfer in Doubt After Medical Claim Denial

Martin Zubimendi Arsenal transfer remains uncertain as the Spanish midfielder dismisses medical claims, sparking speculation about his future.

Spanish midfielder Martin Zubimendi has cast doubt over his highly anticipated move to Arsenal, dismissing reports that he has already undergone a medical. The uncertainty surrounding the Martin Zubimendi Arsenal transfer has left fans wondering if the £50m deal will materialize or if the Real Sociedad star will remain in La Liga.

Last week, reports emerged claiming that Zubimendi was undergoing a medical examination with Arsenal ahead of finalizing his move to Mikel Arteta’s squad. However, the midfielder swiftly dismissed these claims, posting a picture from a beach in San Sebastian on his Instagram account, seemingly contradicting the reports.

Zubimendi addressed the speculation in an interview with Radio Nacional de España, stating:

“Many times I wake up in the morning and read things that I didn’t know I had done. That was a clear example. It’s true that I don’t take it very seriously, but anyway, I uploaded those photos to emphasize a little that it wasn’t exactly the reality that was happening.”

Arsenal has been keen on securing Zubimendi’s services, with the club reportedly activating his £50m release clause. The midfielder, however, has refused to rule out the possibility of staying at Real Sociedad, stating that he is focused on his national team duties and is not prioritizing transfer talks at the moment.

“Of course, there are options, but it’s true that it seems like it’s going to be a different, long summer, and I don’t know how it will end,” Zubimendi said.
“I don’t think thinking about it right now is my priority. I’m here with the national team, which I think is already quite demanding, and if I have to say something, then I will.”

With Arsenal eager to bolster their midfield, Zubimendi remains a top target. However, his reluctance to confirm his departure from Real Sociedad suggests that the transfer saga could extend throughout the summer. Whether Arsenal will successfully land the Spanish playmaker or if he will opt to remain in La Liga is yet to be determined.

For now, Arsenal fans will have to wait and see how this transfer drama unfolds. Will Zubimendi make the move to the Premier League, or will he continue his journey with Real Sociedad Only time will tell.
