Italian club Lazio are actively exploring new signings in the transfer market, with Arsenal defender Nuno Tavares catching their attention.
According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Lazio recently held discussions with Tavares’ representatives regarding the possibility of securing the Portuguese left-back.
Tavares, who joined Arsenal from Benfica in the summer of 2021, previously spent time on loan at Marseille in Ligue 1 and Nottingham Forest in the Premier League. Although Tavares is not currently a priority for Lazio, but the club has expressed genuine interest in his services.

Tavares has drawn interest from Ajax as well, Ajax are also considering a move for the Arsenal left-back according to Sky Sports.
Nuno Tavares began his Nottingham Forest journey with potential, but soon fell out of favor under manager Steve Cooper. Under Nuno Espirito Santos, he made a brief improvement, but his playing time was still limited. Nottingham Forest turned down the chance to sign Tavares permanently for £17 million, regardless of the player’s early potential during his stint.
In an interview with Sport TV in Portugal, Tavares expressed his desire to return to Arsenal. While his representatives have been in contact with other clubs, his priority remains with the Gunners. Tavares emphasized that everyone knows he has another year left on his contract with Arsenal, and he trusts those managing his future decisions
