Arsenal defender Kieran Tierney is expected to leave Arsenal by the end of the season, despite making his first appearance for the club in 500 days on Wednesday evening.
Kieran Tierney is set to leave Arsenal next summer, following the club’s decision not to activate an option to extend his contract with the deadline for exercising the clause now passed, meaning Tierney can talk to interested clubs from January.
In an exclusive report, David Ornstein of The Athletic has revealed that Kieran Tierney will leave Arsenal in 2025. The club has decided against activating an option to extend his contract, which expires in June 2025. This means Tierney will be free to join another club when his contract ends.
There is also a possibility that Tierney could secure a permanent transfer as early as next month, with non-English clubs already showing interest. Tierney, who has been with Arsenal since 2019, has struggled with injuries in recent seasons and has found it difficult to secure a regular place in the starting lineup under manager Mikel Arteta.
The Scottish left-back made his return to the Arsenal squad in the recent Carabao Cup match against Crystal Palace, but his future at the club remains uncertain. Tierney’s departure could pave the way for Arsenal to bring in new talent and reshape their squad for the upcoming seasons.
