Jurrien Timber has been suffering with a ‘load-bearing injury according to report, It is thought that the new issue is not related to his previous knee injury and he is expected to miss the friendly clash against Lyon on Sunday.

Jurrien Timber, who joined Arsenal from Ajax for £38 million last summer, has had a challenging start to his career in North London. After suffering a severe ACL injury on his Premier League debut, Timber has been working hard on his recovery. Unfortunately, he has recently been struggling with a new “load-bearing injury”. This issue, unrelated to his previous knee problem, has kept him out of the friendly against Bayer Leverkusen and is expected to sideline him for the upcoming friendly against Lyon as well. Arsenal’s medical team is taking a cautious approach to ensure Timber is fully fit for the start of the Premier League season.

Riccardo Calafiori, who recently joined Arsenal for £42 million from Bologna, was also absent from the squad. Unlike Timber, Calafiori’s absence is not due to an injury.
