Arsenal’s co-chairman, Josh Kroenke, attended Arsenal open training session on Tuesday night as the team prepared to face PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League.

Arsenal co-chair Josh Kroenke was spotted observing an open training session ahead of the Gunners’ highly anticipated Champions League last-16 first-leg tie against PSV Eindhoven. The training session took place at Arsenal’s Sobha Realty Centre in London Colney, Hertfordshire, on a sunny Monday morning. The session was open to the media, allowing fans and journalists to catch a glimpse of the team’s preparations before they flew to the Netherlands later that afternoon.

Kroenke’s presence at the training ground was notable, as he was seen alongside Arsenal’s managing director Richard Garlick and interim sporting director Jason Ayto. The 44-year-old American, who is the son of Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke, has been actively involved with the club since being appointed as a non-executive director in 2013. His attendance at the training session underscores the importance of the upcoming match against PSV Eindhoven.

Manager Mikel Arteta put the squad through their paces, despite being without several key players due to injury. Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, Kai Havertz, Gabriel Jesus, and Takehiro Tomiyasu were all absent from the session. However, Myles Lewis-Skelly was back in contention after missing the previous week’s goalless draw against Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.

The training session was a crucial part of Arsenal’s preparation for what is arguably their biggest game of the season so far. The Gunners are out of both the Carabao and FA Cups and are trailing behind league leaders Liverpool in the Premier League. The Champions League clash against PSV Eindhoven represents a significant opportunity for the team to secure a trophy this season.

Arsenal’s search for a permanent successor to the outgoing Edu as sporting director continues, with former Atletico Madrid stalwart Andrea Berta emerging as a leading candidate. The search is being led by Garlick and executive vice-chair Tim Lewis, with the Brazilian having resigned in November to take up a role overseeing the group of clubs owned by Evangelos Marinakis, including Nottingham Forest.
