Speaking on Sky Sports, Redknapp expressed his frustration with Arsenal’s performance, highlighting their lack of fluidity and attacking threat. He noted that the Gunners have struggled to find their rhythm this season, often getting bogged down with set pieces and failing to create clear scoring opportunities.

Redknapp pointed out that Arsenal had a golden opportunity to close the gap on league leaders Liverpool, especially given Manchester City’s struggles this season. However, the team’s inability to capitalize on this chance has been a recurring theme. “They’ve really failed to take their opportunity this season,” Redknapp said.

The match saw West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen score the only goal, capitalizing on poor defending from Arsenal. The Gunners’ lack of creativity and cohesion was evident, with Mikel Arteta’s side struggling to break down West Ham’s defense. Redknapp emphasized that many of Arsenal’s problems have been self-inflicted, with the team failing to perform at the level required to compete for the title.

Adding to Arsenal’s woes, the team has been plagued by injuries, further complicating Arteta’s efforts to find a consistent and effective lineup. Redknapp acknowledged the impact of these injuries but stressed that the team’s overall performances have not been good enough.
