Jakub Kiwior might be leaving Arsenal, as the Gunners are reportedly nearing a deal to bring in Riccardo Calafiori from Bologna.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Serie A champions Inter Milan are looking for a left-footed defender and have set their sights on Arsenal’s Jakub Kiwior. This news comes as Arsenal is close to finalizing a €45million transfer for the Italian star Riccardo Calafiori from Bologna.
Kiwior, who joined Arsenal in January 2023, struggled to get playing time last season, featuring in only 30 games across all competitions. Calafiori’s arrival is likely to further limit his opportunities, and the Polish defender is reportedly open to leaving in search of more regular playing time. Inter Milan could be a perfect fit for him.
While Calafiori has reportedly agreed to a five-year contract with Arsenal, the Gunners are hopeful of finalizing the transfer within the next few days. Interestingly, Arsenal initially wanted to include Kiwior in the Calafiori deal as part of a player exchange with Bologna. However, Kiwior preferred a move to a bigger club, which almost jeopardized the Calafiori move. Fortunately, Arsenal seem to have found a solution.
