Arsenal legend Ian Wright has issued a stark warning to Arsenal’s management, stating that the club must make an “unbelievable” signing this summer or risk losing three of their best players. Wright’s comments come as Arsenal continues to chase the Premier League title, currently sitting six points behind leaders Liverpool.

Speaking on his Wrighty’s House podcast, Wright emphasized the urgency of the situation, singling out Gabriel Magalhaes, William Saliba, and Bukayo Saka as players whose contracts expire in 2027. He stressed that unless Arsenal demonstrates ambition in the transfer market, these key players might seek opportunities elsewhere.

Arsenal’s recent performances have been a mixed bag. Despite coming close to winning the Premier League title in the last two seasons, the team has faced setbacks, including their FA Cup exit to Manchester United and a 2-0 deficit in the Carabao Cup semi-final against Newcastle United. Wright believes that these challenges highlight the need for a significant signing to bolster the squad.

Wright suggested that Arsenal should target top-tier talent to make a statement. He specifically mentioned Jamal Musiala, the young German attacking midfielder from Bayern Munich, as a player who could make a difference. Musiala’s skill and potential could convince Saka, Magalhaes, and Saliba to stay at the club.
