Arsenal legend Ian Wright believes that Arsenal’s decision to sign Raheem Sterling on loan has been unsuccessful as the winger continues to struggle for minutes under Mikel Arteta.

Arsenal legend Ian Wright has openly criticized the club’s summer signing, Raheem Sterling, stating that his loan move “has not worked” so far. Speaking on his podcast, Wright expressed disappointment over Sterling’s lack of game time and impact at Arsenal.

Sterling, who joined Arsenal on loan from Chelsea, was expected to bring experience and goal-scoring prowess to the team. However, he has struggled to secure a regular spot in the starting lineup, making just one Premier League start and playing limited minutes in recent matches.

Wright lamented the situation, saying, “He’s not even getting a look in even when we can’t score,” and added, “I genuinely wanted it to work, but it hasn’t clicked yet.” Despite the challenges, Wright remains hopeful that Sterling can still make a significant contribution, especially in crucial matches.
