Gunners Target Benjamin Sesko in £70m As Transfer Talks Advance

The Gunners target Benjamin Sesko in £70m transfer talks as Arsenal intensify their pursuit of the prolific striker for a move to the Emirates.

Arsenal have intensified transfer negotiations as the Gunners target Benjamin Sesko in a bid to strengthen their attack ahead of the new season. The Premier League giants are pushing to secure a £70 million deal for the Slovenian striker, who has expressed keen interest in making the move to the Emirates according to Daily Mail. After previous failed attempts to land Sesko, Arsenal are determined to complete the transfer this time around.

Sesko, currently playing for RB Leipzig, has impressed scouts with his physical presence, finishing ability, and versatility in attack. The 21-year-old striker scored 21 goals last season, including four in the Champions League, proving his ability to deliver on the biggest stage.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has prioritized adding more firepower to his squad after last season’s injuries left the team struggling in front of goal. With Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz sidelined during key months, Arteta had to rely on makeshift solutions, including playing midfielders in attacking roles.

Despite interest from several clubs, Sesko is reportedly eager to join Arsenal. Sources close to the player suggest he sees the Premier League as the ideal next step in his career and admires Arsenal’s style of play under Arteta.

The Gunners have been tracking Sesko since last summer, and though previous bids were unsuccessful, this time Arsenal are willing to match Leipzig’s valuation and finalize the transfer before the pre-season begins.

While Gunners target Sesko as their marquee signing, Arsenal are also exploring backup goalkeeper options. With David Raya as the undisputed number one, Arsenal need cover for the position following Neto’s return to Bournemouth. One potential option is Chelsea’s Kepa Arrizabalaga, who is considering his future after his loan spell at Bournemouth.

Arsenal are expected to accelerate their negotiations in the coming days and could submit an official bid for Sesko soon. If successful, this signing could provide the firepower Arsenal need to mount a serious title challenge next season.
