Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville has urged Arsenal fans to stop making excuses about the club’s injured players and absentees ahead of their crucial Premier League match against Liverpool. Neville emphasized that every club faces injuries and player absences, and it’s up to Arsenal to rise above these challenges.

Neville’s comments come after Arsenal’s recent 2-0 defeat to Bournemouth, where they played with ten men following William Saliba’s red card. Despite the setbacks, Neville believes Arsenal should focus on winning the game rather than making excuses.

“Every club has injuries, every club has players missing,” Neville said on The Overlap US. “I’m not accepting any excuses ahead of Sunday. Arsenal, who finished above Liverpool last season, need to go out onto that pitch thinking they’re going to win that game.

Neville also pointed out that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta should have expected to deal with injuries and absences throughout the season and should prepare his squad accordingly. He stressed that Arsenal has built a squad capable of competing at the highest level and should not use injuries as an excuse for poor performances.
