Lewis-Skelly, who has been playing as a makeshift left-back, put in another outstanding display, nearly creating the winning goal for Leandro Trossard in injury time. Martinelli expressed his confidence in Lewis-Skelly’s future, saying, “We love him. He’s brilliant, a star boy. We trust him. I think he’s going to be one of the best players in the world in the future.”
Reflecting on the match, Martinelli acknowledged the team’s disappointment but remained optimistic about their potential. “It’s a disappointing day. We wanted to win the game, but we have to keep going. That’s football, that’s the Premier League, the most difficult league in the world. We have to see the game and see what we have done wrong and improve for the next games. We know our qualities and we know the potential we have and we trust in ourselves.”
