Fulham in talks to re-sign Reiss Nelson as negotiations with Arsenal ramp up over the winger’s possible return to Craven Cottage this summer.
Fulham are edging closer to re-sign Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson, with negotiations between the two Premier League clubs now at an advanced stage. While optimism surrounds the potential deal, sources indicate that final details are still being ironed out, and a formal agreement has yet to be reached.
Nelson, 25, spent the 2024–25 season on loan at Craven Cottage, where he made 12 appearances, scored twice, and provided one assist before a hamstring injury in December curtailed his campaign.
Despite the setback, Fulham manager Marco Silva remains keen on bringing the Hale End graduate back into the fold, either through a second loan spell or a permanent transfer.
According to report The Athletic, Fulham’s proposal includes a loan deal with either an option or obligation to buy, while Arsenal are weighing the merits of a permanent sale.
The Gunners have already bolstered their attacking options with the signing of Chelsea’s Noni Madueke, which could further limit Nelson’s opportunities at the Emirates.

Nelson’s future at Arsenal has long been uncertain. Despite flashes of brilliance—including a memorable late equaliser against Bournemouth in 2023—he has struggled to cement a regular starting role under Mikel Arteta, largely due to injuries and the rise of Bukayo Saka.
Fulham, meanwhile, are yet to make a senior signing this summer and view Nelson’s return as a key move to strengthen their attacking depth. The winger’s versatility and familiarity with Silva’s system make him an attractive option, especially as the club looks to build on last season’s mid-table finish.
