Former Arsenal winger Nicolas Pepe has made a huge move to La Liga. The Ivorian player had joined Villarreal as a free agent. After leaving the Gunners last summer, the 29-year-old spent a year with Trabzonspor before leaving this summer.
Pepe joined the Gunners from Lille in the summer of 2019 for a reported £72 million fee, but he had a difficult time at the Emirate. He has 27 goals and 21 assists in 112 games across all competition, but struggled to establish himself as a first-team regular until leaving last summer.
His last season at the Emirates was spent on loan with Ligue 1 club Nice, where he scored eight goals in 28 appearances across all competitions.
The Ivorian international had a good stint with Trabzonspor in Turkey scoring six goals and providing three assists in 23 appearances across all competitions.
However, he decided to explore new challenge and signed a two-year contract with Villarreal, according to Fabrizio Romano.
