Fabrizio Romano offers the latest update on Arsenal’s reported interest in Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimarães.
Renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Roman has addressed the speculation surrounding Guimaraes and Arsenal, shedding light on the current state of affairs. Meanwhile, the Gunners are also preparing for significant changes in their squad, with Jorginho and Partey reportedly nearing the end of their contracts.
Bruno Guimaraes has been a standout performer for Newcastle United since his arrival from Lyon in 2022. His technical prowess, vision, and defensive contributions have made him one of the Premier League’s most sought-after midfielders. Arsenal, aiming to bolster their midfield options, has been linked with the Brazilian international.
However, Fabrizio Romano has clarified the situation, stating that there are currently no concrete negotiations between Arsenal and Guimaraes. Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano mentioned that while Guimaraes was previously on Arsenal’s radar under former sporting director Edu Gaspar, the club’s new leadership under Andrea Berta has not yet pursued the player actively. Romano emphasized that despite the rumors, there is no direct contact or formal approach for Guimaraes at this stage.

While Arsenal is expected to bolster its midfield in the upcoming transfer window, Romano emphasized that there is currently no indication of an imminent move for Guimaraes. The Gunners are reportedly exploring other options as well, with names like Martin Zubimendi and Alexander Isak, Benjamin Sesko also being linked to the North London club.
