Fabio Vieira Transfer Gains Momentum After Woltemade Sale

Fabio Vieira joins Hamburger

Fabio Vieira transfer move to Stuttgart gains momentum as Newcastle’s £70M deal for Nick Woltemade reshapes the Bundesliga market.

Arsenal midfielder Fabio Vieira could be heading to Stuttgart, as Newcastle United’s £70 million signing of Nick Woltemade reshapes the Bundesliga club’s transfer strategy.

Newcastle United completed a high-profile transfer for German striker Nick Woltemade, injecting fresh funds into Stuttgart’s coffers. The £70 million deal gives Stuttgart the financial flexibility to pursue Fabio Vieira, a long-term target.

Previously, Stuttgart struggled to meet Arsenal’s asking price. Their initial offer included a loan with a future purchase clause around £17 million. Arsenal, however, valued Vieira closer to £25 million. With new funds available, Stuttgart may now offer a compromise fee of approximately £21 million.

Fabio Vieira’s Arsenal Journey

Fabio Vieira joined Arsenal from Porto in 2022 for £30 million. Despite early promise, he failed to secure a regular spot under Mikel Arteta. Vieira scored just two goals in 33 appearances before returning to Porto on loan last season, where he netted five times in 45 matches.

This summer, Vieira trained with Arsenal but has not featured in any matchday squads. His lack of playing time signals that a transfer is likely.

Stuttgart sees Vieira as a creative midfielder who can enhance their attacking options. With the Bundesliga season underway, they aim to finalize the deal before the transfer window closes.

Arsenal is also looking to offload other fringe players, including Albert Sambi Lokonga and Reiss Nelson. Oleksandr Zinchenko’s future remains uncertain, adding to the club’s reshuffling efforts.
