Olsson’s health challenges began in February 2024 when he collapsed at home and was rushed to the hospital. Medical examinations revealed blood clots on both sides of his brain, caused by a rare inflammation of blood vessels. The condition required immediate intervention, including the use of a respirator to aid his breathing. Over the past year, Olsson has faced significant physical and mental hurdles during his recovery.
Despite these challenges, Olsson has shown remarkable resilience and determination. His decision to terminate his contract with Midtjylland allows him to return to his boyhood club, IFK Norrkoping, in Sweden.
