Arsenal teenage sensation Ethan Nwaneri made history as Arsenal beat Nottingham Forest 3-0 at the Emirates Stadium.
Ethan Nwaneri, delivered a great performance in Arsenal’s 3-0 victory against Nottingham Forest. Coming on as a substitute, Nwaneri scored his first Premier League goal, etching his name into the club’s history books as Arsenal’s second-youngest goalscorer in Premier League history. At 17 years and 247 days old, Nwaneri became Arsenal’s second-youngest goalscorer in Premier League history, after only Cesc Fabregas, who achieved this feat at 17 years and 113 days.
Nwaneri’s goal came in the closing stages of the match, following goals from Bukayo Saka and Thomas Partey. His precise finish, assisted by fellow substitute Raheem Sterling, left Nottingham Forest’s goalkeeper with no chance. The young talent’s composure and skill were evident as he calmly slotted the ball into the bottom-right corner.
Mikel Arteta praised Nwaneri’s development and maturity, hinting at more opportunities for the youngster in the coming months. “We are responsible for building a career for him. We have to do that brick by brick,” Arteta said. “Now you have to put the cement in to make sure the next brick sticks.”
Nwaneri’s achievement is a testament to Arsenal’s commitment to nurturing young talent and integrating them into the first team. His performance not only sealed a dominant victory but also highlighted the rich vein of talent emerging from Arsenal’s academy.
With Arsenal continuing to compete on multiple fronts this season, Nwaneri’s rise could add valuable depth to the squad. For the young Gunner, this historic moment is likely just the beginning of an exciting journey in an Arsenal shirt.
