According to The Sun, Eberechi Eze is set to complete his move to Arsenal today, with a medical scheduled that will finalize one of the biggest Premier League transfers of the summer.

Arsenal have successfully hijacked Tottenham Hotspur’s attempt to sign Crystal Palace midfielder Eberechi Eze. The Gunners matched Spurs’ £67.5 million offer and convinced the player to join his boyhood club instead.

Eze, a lifelong Arsenal supporter, prioritized a move to the Emirates Stadium once the North London giants entered the race. The transfer was fast-tracked following Kai Havertz’s injury, which left a gap in Arsenal’s midfield.

Transfer Fee and Contract Details

The deal is worth £60 million upfront, with an additional £7.5 million in performance-related bonuses. This makes Eze the third most expensive signing in Arsenal history, behind Declan Rice and Nicolas Pépé.

Eze will undergo his medical at Arsenal today, Friday, August 22, 2025. His absence from Crystal Palace’s Europa Conference League match against Fredrikstad confirmed his imminent departure.

Eze is known for his creativity, dribbling skills, and versatility. He can play as a No. 10, winger, or deep-lying playmaker. With 40 goals in 169 appearances for Palace and 12 England caps, he adds depth and flair to Mikel Arteta’s squad.
