Rice stated, “I had a fantastic relationship with James while we were playing for Ireland. I won’t speak ill of him. He’s had a remarkable career with over a hundred caps for Ireland. We are at different stages of our careers – he’s 35 and I’m 25. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and I respect that.”
He also admitted that his decision to go from Ireland to England could have caused the bitterness. Despite the exchange, Rice chose to remain positive, emphasizing, “I see the comments, but I don’t dwell on them. You live and learn, and that’s most important to me.”
