David Seaman reveals why the Premier League title race between Liverpool and his former club Arsenal is far from over.

Former Arsenal and England goalkeeper David Seaman shared his thoughts on the ongoing Premier League title race, emphasizing that it is far from over despite Liverpool’s current lead. Seaman, who enjoyed a successful career with Arsenal, believes that several factors could still influence the outcome of the season.

Liverpool currently sits at the top of the Premier League table with a 13-point lead over Arsenal. However, Seaman pointed out that Arsenal has a game in hand, which could potentially reduce the gap. He acknowledged that time is running out for Mikel Arteta’s men, who have only 11 fixtures remaining to close the gap.

Seaman highlighted the importance of luck and the impact of injuries on a team’s performance. He noted that Liverpool has been fortunate with fewer injuries to key players like Mohamed Salah. In contrast, Arsenal has struggled with injuries to crucial players such as Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, Gabriel Jesus, and Kai Havertz. Seaman believes that if Liverpool were to lose a key player like Salah for an extended period, they would face similar challenges.

One of the key reasons Seaman believes the title race is still open is the unpredictable nature of football. He mentioned that Liverpool supporters have not yet started celebrating, which indicates that the race is not over. Seaman’s experience in the sport has taught him that anything can happen, and he urged fans not to count Arsenal out just yet.

Looking ahead, Seaman suggested that Arsenal will likely target a new striker in the summer transfer window. The club’s January gamble did not pay off, and the injuries to key players have made it evident that reinforcements are needed. Seaman is confident that with the right additions, Arsenal can bounce back and challenge for the title in the future.
