Danny Murphy Believes Marcus Rashford Would Excel at Arsenal

Danny Murphy is of the opinion that Marcus Rashford would be ‘much better’ at Arsenal amid speculation that Manchester United are prepared to part with the forward.

Former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy has sparked a debate by suggesting that Marcus Rashford would be “much better” at Arsenal. This comes amid reports that Manchester United is considering selling the forward ahead of the January transfer window.

Murphy believes that Rashford’s end product would improve significantly if he were to join Arsenal. According to Murphy, Arsenal’s stability and competence would provide Rashford with the environment he needs to thrive. “Playing in a team that’s so settled, so confident and competent, there is a case that his end product would get much better, because Arsenal are really dominant in games.” He told talkSPORTS

Rashford has been a key player for Manchester United since his debut in 2016, scoring 138 goals in 425 appearances. However, his form has dipped since his impressive 30-goal campaign in the 2022/23 season. Despite recent improvements under new manager Ruben Amorim, Rashford’s inconsistency has raised questions about his future at Old Trafford.

While Rashford remains a valuable asset for Manchester United, Murphy believes that a move to Arsenal could unlock his full potential. He added, “He’s still the best one, on his day, He’s the most dangerous one. If I looked at all their front players and thought, ‘Who can win me a game? Who can score a goal? Who’s going to hurt people?’ I’d have him ahead of [Alejandro] Garnacho, [Rasmus] Hojlund, and Antony this season.”
