Arsenal first turned down Fulham’s bid of about £30 million with add-ons for midfielder Emile Smith Rowe. This suggests the Gunners value the 23-year-old closer to £50 million, a steep price considering his limited playing time recently and a contract expiring in two years.

Despite Arsenal’s high asking price, Crystal Palace are reportedly preparing a bid for Smith Rowe according to Fabrizio Romano. Their manager, Oliver Glasner, is a big admirer of the player and believes he could bolster their squad.

Smith Rowe’s struggles with injuries have seen him fall out of favor with Mikel Arteta at Arsenal. With limited playing time guaranteed at the Emirates, a move elsewhere could benefit his development.

However, Arsenal’s high valuation might deter potential buyers. Crystal Palace’s upcoming offer will be a key indicator of whether other clubs are willing to meet Arsenal’s asking price. If Arsenal want to sell Smith Rowe this summer, they may need to be more flexible with their demands.
